Transition Chester has developed a “Sustainability Walk” located within Chester City Centre area .
The intention is to highlight features that exist right now that illustrate one or more sustainablity themes and to celebrate aspects of the City that many people may be unaware of that point to a more sustainable future.
The walk shows examples of
- sustainable design,
- sustainable lower carbon transport,
- renewable energy,
- energy conservation,
- a thriving local economy,
- biodiversity habitats and more…
Live Guided Walks Available
A date can be set up for you to book a free Sustainability Walk for your group (up to 20 people). Alternatively, you can express your interest in going on a Sustainability Walk when a programme has been arranged.

All walks start and finish at the Chester Bus Interchange.
The walks last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and cover a circular route around the city centre measuring up to 7.6Km (4.5 miles) along paved (step free) paths. Shorter walks can be arranged
